TWIST AND SHOUT

So little known fact about me, I do not in fact have tight ringlet curly hair. *Gasp shock and awe I know* So when my child’s hair grew into these Shirley Temple curls I was thrown for a loop. (haha, get it loop….I slay me)

Anyway so in case you missed it, we are in full on summer humidity and those once beautiful curls turn to frizz in like .5 seconds after walking out the door. Don’t you just LOVE Alabama summers? And not having curls myself I don’t know how to fix it.

So to you curly headed girlies out there HELP ME!!! It’s not that I have to have her hair all perfect all the time, but I would like the option of “fixing” her curls for special days like the 705, 381 weddings we have to go to this summer. (so maybe it’s more like 4 but whatever)

Tell me your secret product, styling tips or whatever snippets of wisdom you have from the land of curly curls. It doesn’t have to be “baby” products because she already uses “real people” shampoo and conditioner. You are my Spiral Sages.

Mousse, you don't need the kind with extra volume or anything like that but putting some mousse will definitely tame the curls. Although you will want to play with the amount and the application (really wet hair vs. slightly damp hair... a lot of mousse or just a little on the edges).

I like curl enhancing mousse for curls (Treseme has one I use) and also if that doesn't work, Herbal essences has a curl enhancing gel you can lightly comb through.
As a kid, I loved Aussie scrunch spray - it smelled really good. :)
